I just pressure can whatever i can fit onboard, and freeze the rest at home or give to friends and family.
Them there elk are big! The biggest white tail deer I ever nailed was 220 pounds.

No doubt they're big, but dressing out at say 25-30%, 500lbs of meat is unlikely....but never say never.

220lb deer is a beauty though!...you got me beat.

I find it hilarious how different we all are on here.....but....hater's gonna hate!

Not any useful replies?! If you have no useful information regarding this then why bother to spout your mouth? this is to all that responded. I happen to be Canadian, asking a question!

Re: Guns? Hunters?

The difference between restricted and unrestricted? really, i can't fart in my car on the way to the range with my restricted weapons in my vehicle.....i don't even think I am allowed to pull over for an emergency vehicle....If I detour from my route I can have my license taken away....holy freakin moly

Re: Guns? Hunters?

Well it sounds to me that you already know more than you what you should expect to learn on a sailing forum about the subject.

BOTOH - now that you have mouthed off so badly I expect everyone to just research the hell out of the question so that you can feel the advise you get is worth the risk to you.

maybe it would be best to ask Canadian law enforcement the question and get a real answer

"Note: This is an automated message regarding this post:
Guns? Hunters? - Page 7 - Cruisers & Sailing Forums

I just wanted to let you know that I appreciated this post that you made. It's contributions like this that make this such a great community.

Comment: I mistakenly thought this would be a useful form to aid in our transition to liveaboard status, I will take your latter advise and just call the Chief Firearms Office.

Please thank other members for their posts if you find them useful. It's a nice way to let each other know you appreciate their input.

Regards,

meandmyhunny"

This is a great idea. While I understand the desire/thought behind asking cruisers/sailors/boaters questions because a boat is involved, it really isn't a good idea to take an internet forum's advise on things that can get you put in jail etc.

Sounds there is a real place to ask!

Or ask a specific question like

"I am a Canadian interested in hunting while i cruise Canadian waters. Has anyone any experience complying with Canadian firearms laws while doing this?"

Just a thought............

Re: Guns? Hunters?

In fact, having guns on board is really a serious legal question, so to rely on answers from an internet forum is just plain stupid. Sort of like asking if you need a passport to enter Cuba. 'I'm going to Cuba without a passport because 'joeAtSea22' said is was OK'.
Thus either the OP is stupid, or is trolling, take your pick.

To be fair to OP (and others) asking a question such as this is useful to get a handle on the ballpark of questions to ask - before heading off to ask those who actually know enough to keep ass out of jail.

Just bad luck that this was a touchy subject on CF .

Nonetheless if I heard you rack one in the chamber on a dark night I would likely be deterred..........
