Gulf Side Florida best priced liveaboard marina's for Catamaran

Good day all.

Well it looks like our plans are shaping up to be in the live-aboard mode either late fall of 2016 or very early 2017. We are looking to acquire a used cat in the 36ft to 40ft range.

Most recent plan is to most likely move home base to Florida and we would be looking to find live-aboard marina’s from Pensacola all the way down the western side of Florida. Looking to use as home base for 6 months to a year while we sail and get comfortable before just taking off. So looking for an affordable locations, with water, electric, pump-out and wireless would be great. A place to store our car. Again it will be a Cat, so need the extra width, probably -24ft width

Is it possible and or affordable to consider finding yacht club membership with lots of other yachts clubs honoring same membership? My guess probably not affordable on our budget, but asking so as to cross that option off the list first.

Most marinas will probably put you on a side tie rather than a slip, so hopefully the beam of your boat will not be a problem.

Thanks for the insight Dulce on the one marina in southwestern Florida. Just the type of information I am looking for... Can you tell me if the 450 price includes electric hookup services within that fee or is that separate?

Well I looked at marina's on the gulf side of Florida and came up with the best all round marina . It was burnt store Marina in Punta Gorda Fl

They have incredible facilities great service . Trust me a nice swimming pool and hot tub are price less . Also the sailors are very friendly
Price --12 $ per ft . Give them a call. They are located on a great bay to get your sea legs and it is a short over night trip to the keys

The weather is warm and you really get what you pay for .
I have a 40 cat .

You can get a side tie in Crystal River for less than $300. Water is $5.00 a month and electricity is metered. No wifi though.

I just called Burnt Store and they are full up and have no more T-Heads but their getting some more pillings put in so they can set up some new ones.
Rates for a 56 foot 30 feet wide is 1100.
