Gday from new Liveaboard in Sydney

Hey All, quick g'day from a new live aboard in Sydney, I'm Tom and recently acquired an S&S 34 which needs a bit of cosmetic work to make it into a comfy liveaboard, but nevertheless I am living onboard and enjoying the great life here in Sydney Intention is to fix what needs doing, sail in the meantime and set off north around March next year...

If you guys get up and do Sail Indonesia next year, I'm sure you'll have a great time! Sail Indonesia is cool, and Raymond Lesmana, the guy who (really) runs it is a great guy. It's a good way to see a country that has been traditionally difficult to access due to officialdom. Ray makes it easy! I'm jealous - wish i was going (again)!!

Re: Gday from new liveaboard in Sydney

Hey Tom, we are in Hope Island Gold Coast for now. I will sail down to Sydney in 2-3 months time. I am looking for a berth for at least 12 months if you or anybody else know a good marina. Our yacht is 59f and weighs 25 ton. I may have to go for swing mooring as 'walk-on walk-off' is far too expensive in Sydney. I would be very interested to hear about moorings in Sydney Harbour.
Ciao

Hi Guys, I will ask my marina as they have some pretty big boats (I won't publicise here but will pm you) and I found them to be very good price and service wise...moorings for your size depending on location may be an issue too, again I'll speak to the local font of knowledge, find out and let you guys know...fair winds

Re: Gday from new liveaboard in Sydney

Well folks it seems my yacht is not an s&s 39 it's a compass 38....I took the owners word for it which was verified by an old salt at the club but it proves to be an aussie designed and built compass :-)
