family living aboard

Hi everyone. We (me, my husband, our two girls-ages 7 & 4, and our black lab, are planning to sell the house and move aboard as soon as we find the right boat. My question is this...we really like the Liberty 45, and are wondering if its big enough for us to live aboard for at least the next 8 yrs. Cruising for about 2 of those years, and the rest we will live in the Pacific Northwest. I realize that a lot depends on us and our personalities. I'm just curious to talk to others that have done it or are doing it and what they think about the boat size. Thanks!

I met a family of 5, man & wife with their THREE teenage daughters living aboard a Fantasia 35 (which is a lot of boat for her length, nonetheless a bit smaller than any 45 footer). They thrived quite well probably because they all had good relationships with each other.

Several of us cruisers empathised with the man who "must have had a hell of a time with 4 females all "synched-up" at that time of month with PMS!

Here is a website of two people onboard a Liberty 45 cutter. They have been cruising for a while, so send them an email. They might be in touch with other Liberty owners.
