Do you keep previous boat owners "good luck" charms?

We are the 4th owner of our boat and I know she's successfully circumnavigated twice. So would YOU keep the previous "good luck" charms aboard? Can't say I'm superstitious then again can't say I'm not.

Should we keep them? We plan to get/make our own before leaving. Click image for larger version

I'd keep them. They appear to be small.

If it were me, I'd only get rid of them if I were intending to change the name of the boat. My 2¢

Keep em. If you don't and something happens, we will have another stupid suspicion to deal with.
They are small so if you don't want to look at them throw them under a mattress.

I'd only keep a good luck charm if it was hot, had black hair and could cook.

For me, I feel they belong to the boat now.

"Charms" from two different religions. One of which says "Thou shalt worship no other gods but me"?

That's asking for trouble. Get rid of them both

Re: Do you keep previous boat owners "good luck" charms?

I kept all the pix and docs, including love letters from the po's wife that were shoved into the ships papers. I ripped out all biological items like sewage stuff and mattreses. Loving pix of the deceased and his kids remain. He was a good man, did right by his kids and the boat. Systems that were worn out or poorly designed are gone. This Christmas, the widow will get a Christmas card from Idora, she can have any of the stuff she wants.. Udo got in a lot more trouble with her than I have... I just validate his his intent. Peace.

+4 X 3 =12

I'd be more worried about the mixture of screws holding that wheel on and the instruments around it. It's only got one screw left and that doesn't look like SS.

And that ragtassel can be seen hanging from the rear view mirror of 90% of the taxis in SEA.

My boat had a bunch o' crap in it. I eventually emptied the boat completely and only took stuff on board that was needed. I still gain a hundred pounds a year of crap. I don't need a headstart with someone else's crap - LOL...

Your boat, your choice.

My boat was super clean from the PO, even removed the name! Good for him, saved me a lot of work.

Whatever the next owner of my boat does is his business, I don't intend to be around to explain to him that it's his choice, his life and now his boat.
