No... wrote a log about my 1st W-E crossing... amazing sights & experiences... but read it 2mths after the voyage and decided it was really boring.... so I binned it..
Maybe I'm just a crap writer...
Or maybe I don't feel the need to broadcast my life...

Re: Do You Have a Sailing Blog?

I think there's many reasons for a blog. At least one of them is the human need to share our experiences, which in part accounts for a forum like this one and explains why people will talk to the walls when living alone. A blog is also a way to attract attention to another venture, which in part explains why I do it but I will talk to walls or the birds, seals and just about anything else when on my own for a while.

p.s. you're only crazy if they talk back.

speaking of technomadia indeed! Steve, aren't you credited with the origins of the word "technomad"? I wonder sometimes if my wanderlust wasn't spawned by an article about your Behemoth adventures, found in 'Owl' magazine in elementary school in backwoods New Brunswick... seeds were definitely sown!

Re: Do You Have a Sailing Blog?

As the original links page in the first post is dead, I've gathered the links in this thread and put them up as a single page - techno/luddite | Cruisers Forum Sailing Links

Let me know what you think! If I've missed anyone please let me know.

Brilliant work, thanks. I have bookmarked the link - a one stop shop, so to speak.

Can you add mine as well then?

Done!

Thanks for the feedback

I've set the links to random order for now, but wondered about ordering them by popularity... what do you think?

Hi Drew, and thanks for the shout! Yes, I coined the word 'technomad,' originally in 1984 when I was but a few months into my wanderings on the bicycle as a 'high-tech nomad.' Good times.... and I'm honored to have played a part in your wanderlust!

I started one about finding, losing and getting my boat back. I will post on the restoration and cruising too.
