it is surprisingly comfy, took about 10 minuets to lace and will gain more (colorful) lines as more get used and condemned. It's been my favorite chair for over 5 years and started life a a "lawn" chair, it fits in my cabin quite tight and allowed me to read comfortably even in 6' chop on the Mississippi sound.

I seem to recall some turd saying something bad about my boat whilst in Louisiana, not quite as snarky as Mr Gord but I still gave him the same reply: "if you can't say anything nice, shut up and mind your own business"

reduce, reuse, recycle.

I am happy for your satisfaction in it.

Nice piece of art!

Just be sure to always wear shorts when sitting in it or you may get tangled uncomfortably.

Perhaps this explains why you solo a lot. Perhaps not.

Sorry, I thought this was a discussion forum, not a church.

If you can't accept polite criticism, don't publicly brag on your artistic/crafts accomplishments.

As a backer and supporter of the 1800+ days of lawn chair sitting and re-use, I find this disturbing. Who is to say that this is or is not a world record for lawn chair use?
Detractors can argue that this is not a 'real' record or 'art' but I would argue that this man is going about doing his own thing with a lawn chair and is not bothering anyone else. His lawn chair maybe unappreciated by some, but most of those that I have met that do not find this lawn chair to be something astounding, are losers on the craps and black jack tables. Those that find this truly amazing have already won the lottery.

I don't know which is more impressive - the recycled chair or your courage in posting the photo on this website ..... I am living in hillbilly country, building a sailboat, and all my neighbors [well, almost all .. ] would be deeply impressed by your creativity [though they would never use that word ...]

Believe me, I have seen a lot worse...Like the washing machine on a front deck of a houseboat.....House hold refrigerator on the back deck of a powerboat.

For my taste....that macrame' would be a little hard on my frame....

BUT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!for only shipping and handling....we will send you another Naughty/Nautical/Knottical Chair for Free.........(Billy Mays RIP)

I like it. The aesthetic, clearly, is fixing something that needs fixing.

I view it as a counter-cultural critique.

I'm almost inspired to post one of my fixes.

It could just be some post-modern artefact but it appears to be functional. Like it

I'm gonna change my signature - and then I'm gonna go and seek in the skips for a discarded deckchair, and salvage all the old lines. Hillbilly, you are an inspiration!!!

This looks like a good chair for taking watch. I don't think I could fall asleep while sitting in it, and that is what I want from a chair when I am taking watch.
