Re: Day Four on the ICW

I don't know who right now is good with wood there. You may want to contact these folks and get some recommendations. And, St. Augustine Marine Center is one of the bigger boatyards around--again no personal experience there.

Ughhhhh...We know how that feels! In the Fall of 2011 we traveled ICW from MM1 and on day 21 I think, when we were getting out of the New Smyrna municipal marina, winds pushed us further starboard then we were suppose to be, and we damaged our railing by getting attached to another boat anchor. Other boat was fine. Plus, my (admirals) finger got smashed and we ended up emergency docking at the nearby restaurant and were rushed to emergency room Bertfish Hospital. We were really new to cruising then. We only had some experience cruising the Chesapeake Bay in the summer of 2011.

I hope you all are OK and safe, everything else will be OK.

Check out the blog we kept while cruising the ICW in 2011.

Re: Day Four on the ICW

For those in St Augustine this week, the St Augustine Cruisers Net is hosting a get together Thursday night near Camachee Cove from 6-8pm. We meet at the picnic tables behind Fish Tales Market & Grill. Our topic will be “ICW Northbound” and the discussion will be lead by Mark Doyle from On The Water Chartguides.
More info can be found on the St Aug Cruisers Net facebook page.
