The selfish thing is interesting, its often a label thrown at you when you won't bend to someone elses will or desires.

Re: Dating, Relationships livingaboard

I have hard the burning desire to go cruising for about 5 years now.Initially my girlfriend shared the same now it's just down to day sailing.I had to make a decision should I fulfill her wishes and desires or should I make my self happy by doing what I really want to do.
Someone tell am I selfish for letting her go.

I can't call you selfish. Its an act of mercy for you both to find more compatible partners.

I could never understand needy, whiny, clingy women (usually with a bunch of unresolved personal, financial and other issues on top of everything) demanding from their happy and content male friends with benefits some sort of serious commitment. What's in it for him?
My ex would say cookin and cleanin.....

Most would say your selfish, I say you had the courage to live your life, well done. To live the life you want often upsets other's.

If you wait for someone to come with you on any adventure, or even up the supermarket, you will never go.

I wait for no one.

I am achieving a wonderful life.

I don't have to ponder if my cup is half full or half empty my cup is always full to the brim!

If a girl comes along she needs to bring her own cup, not to suck mine.

Mark

If you don't wait or speed up, you can't go hand in hand.

h aha ha ha ha ha ha h a
the perfect partner is a boat. first mate has fur.. life rocks.
no two legged male of our species will come around as long as you have a PROJECT boat.
i know this. very very well i know this..ha ha ha ha
best fortune helps those who help themselves---i find each time i am removing a huge piece of boat to redo it, i am surrounded by mouths spewing desire to assist.
unless it is an engine or a transmission. ha ha ha ha
most help selves to the money paid for first half of work,,,,,,,,
dating?? social life?? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha high season or low season , here in cruiseville??? there is a difference-

had i waited for anyone to come along on my misadventure, i would be a dried out old meatless skeleton with spiderwebs and a sunk boat. i found most males spew desire but when the chips are down, so is their urge.. ha ha ha ha ha. they present with more excuses than do women.

cup half full or half empty?? hell who uses a cup when it comes to life-drink out of the bottle !!!!

Zee,
Sad to say but this has been my experience also.
It does help to weed them out when the chips are down.

I try not to be negative and if the soulmate ever shows, will welcome him. I even keep a drawer cleaned out just for him, lol. Until then, I drink from the bottle and enjoy everyday.
Keep all the pretenders out there away, don't have time.
Time waits for no one!

*daw passes the bottle back to zeehag*

HA HA HA --- that was funny, Lorrie, about having a drawer cleaned out. I have an empty drawer in the chest of drawers at my house.

Re: Dating, Relationships livingaboard

i managed to figger out the drawer thing-i have some i cannot use--under my bed. they are always cleaned out an dmy stuff is placed in the remaining and obvious drawers. i had to stop cleaning out drawers when i found the crew not suitable for boat life.
as my cotton clothing disintigrates i use it for cleaning rags and have more room with each worn out wonder.

being ready is not always the best way nor time for finding that for which we try not to search, yet seem always to be searching...the best fun occurs when you are ill prepared for it.

Re: Dating, Relationships livingaboard

Someone that would think I'm selfish for living my life the way I would chose to live it, is someone that needs to not be in my life. I see people around me give up true happiness for love all the time, LOL, and end up miserable and broke. Hindsight, Damn, that was me, three divorces later, single now for a few years, happy, free, peaceful, drama free, living on my boat and ready to leave for mexico next year. If its not about being happy, comfortable, enjoying my life I'm really not interested, if that's selfish oh freaking well! For the ones that call it selfish.......how much of your life have you wasted trying to do for someone what they can only do for themselves? enjoying this wonderful life.
