Cats are great in the Bay, just don't look to be at a dock much. Fortunately we don't like being at a dock, much prefer to be in a quite anchorage away from the crowds. There are plenty of little places to hide away with a shallow draft. Our 47 foot cat has a draft of just less than 4 feet which is a good number for the bay, I don't know about 7 feet.
