Crossing the Atlántic

10 tips to cross the Atlantic
First of all i must to say that the Atlantic crossing Is a mental proof. For me was so much harder the preparation than the fact!
You have to think in everything that it could happens..... And it could happens everything
You do not know what happens from You leave the harbour.
1.
Choose the crew. You will spend 15 days, as minimum, in a very small place, with not some life conditions not very confortable And in severeal danger situations where the scare Is in the air. People have to be "open mind mood" And to be polite Is a must.
2.
Healthy. If you think in all your body parts You will be awsome about how many illness You will have in the middle of the ocean.... So it Is necessary to take some anthibiotics, And pilds for the pinfull .... The best thing Is remember all the possible pains Or illnes have You passed in your life And get a first aid book
3.
Food. You should ask to your crew what the love Or what they hate. And the rest You should be make a menú for everyday And prepared some things which you can eat row just in case all your systems for cooking failed. And other things which give a You energy And to take Easy like penunts Or wolenuts....
4.
The mind. This Is a very important issue. You have to concentrate in your small tasks everyday And do not to be a future thought more than One day. Your space will be the smallest One... Soy yo must to acomodatte your stuff in the best way because a tidy space will five You peace And relax.
5.
Scare
The frighteness Is free, so you do not feel bad If you are scared. It Is normal, you are going to be in the middle of nowhere for some time without a sure And fast help Is you have problems . Nights are incredibles but you feel so small And so lonely..... The key Is work hard in your boat And get everything ready so much as you can.
6.
Comunications
You have to be sure that a good comunication system on board could Sade your ife. It Is necessary to get a good sat phone And a hf radio.
7.
The time
You will think that You will have a lot o f time, but really, from the sunirse to the Sunset You will not have a lot of free time. You wil have to spend your time cooking, cleanig, speaking by radio, watching, taking care of the sails... And sleeping. It Is very important sleep as well as You can.
8.
Fishing
If you like Fishing it Is the best opportunity to do it. During the cross there are not a lot of fish but when You leave Canarysport Island Or You arrive to the land your opportunities will rise
9.
The arrival
The most important thing Is to be prepare for the arrival... You will arrive at a new country And usually should be a caribbean country, so use part of your crossing time to check all the papers And passports.
10.
