Re: Considering Liveaboard Lifestyle - Input requested

If you haven't already, buy a copy of The Voyagers Handbook, by Beth Leonard. I found it to be the single best resource to take the cruising plunge. It covers every aspect of cruising from boat selection to lifestyle considerations. It helped us immensely.

That's interesting! Glad to see that older boats can be financed. We'll probably end up in a late 90's model something or nother.

A post like that begs for photos to be posted too.

Show us your new boat. A simple "selfie" in front of it would be a nice addition to thi thread. . Then add that to your CF Profile in a photo album too, as people like to see the boats others have.

Congratulations and have fun!

Re: Considering Liveaboard Lifestyle - Input requested

The question of living with less appears to be trending. I have been watching cable shows on 300 sq ft homes on land so a small motor boat like what you are looking at is not out of the question if your relationship is solid. Clearly eating drinking sleeping in a tiny space is a challenge yet at a marina you may find showers, restaurants, public meeting space and you are near a city which offers everything. If you want to experiment, spend a week living in a motel room with a view ( or tent), cook on a camping stove and get your entertainment and news by slow wifi.
What is the warmest and coldest it gets in your neck of the woods. It might play into your decision. Best of luck with your decision.
