Talking Christmas: Where Are You ? Photos, Please . . .

This is posted in the Liveaboards forum so the landlubbers don't get too jealous...

I thought it would be kinda kewl to see the wonderful (or may be not so wonderful) places each of us are spending Christmas.

We are still in Sydney and just near the Heads of Sydney Harbour is a bay surrounded by bush. So of course it gets full of boaties!

Anyway, we have a pretty good spot here and the pick is deep, we are a dinghy ride and walk from a supermarket and bottle-o and our solar powered Christmas Tree is up and flashing. So what more could we want??

By christmas Day our bay will be full of 1,000 people all testing their new aqua chrissy pressies! Better get the fenders out! LOL

As much as I'd like to make you a snowman, I feel it best if you do it yourself the first time. Merry Christmas.

The coast near the southernmost tip of africa. Ocean behind me, I am standing on the coastal sandunes, a sand road heading toward the totally roadless mountains. There is a road around the mountains clinging to the mountainside but it is a long way to a road over the mountains. The place we stayed had only solar electricity and firewood for fuel. When the batteries got low the electricity clicked off and we got out the kerosine lamps. No cell or other phone and no TV. It is hot but not too hot.

Our home on Nevis overlooks The Narrows, which separates St. Kitts and Nevis. The Atlantic is in the distance. We get some nice sunsets on the Caribbean side. We'll be having Christmas dinner with Nevis ex-pats from England, Bermuda and the U.S.

Our boat used to be moored within sight in a cove below us, but is now up for sale in Bradenton, Florida. Actually, living on a Caribbean island is kind of like living aboard our boat, but without having to worry about the fresh water supply.

Happy Holidays, All!

Yeah! I'd like to be in the Southern hemisphere about now!

There's nothing romantic about being stuck in your own driveway after a night of snow. I got 4 meters (hi-centered), just 100 to go. NOT! What ever happen to the global warming talk?

But that just prolongs the Christmas time off.

"What ever happen to the global warming talk?"

I've heard all the excuses. This one's my favorite:

"It's the big dip before the big temperature spike."

LOLOL!

Watching the boat and dock sitting noticeably lower in the water because of all the snow on them.
