Buying a Canadian register boat in the caribbean

Hi Guys, I´m searching for a boat for liveaboard and travel the world.
I found a boat in the Caribbean that is registred in Canada.
Whem I buy this used boat do I have to pay salles taxes for Canada?

Only if you sail it to Canada.

Not true I bought a British registered boat and swith the registration to Canadian, no tax due unless I bring it to Canada. Did this 4 years ago

Yeh, wrong.....I have a boat flagged in Canada will never visit Canada so no tax to pay.......if it's removed from Canadian registration then registered elsewhere no tax to pay.....
