Re: Boot key marina in marathon, fl keys

You can find summer dockage after July but forget that $15/ft number. $25+ is more like it for a monthly slip rental.

Re: Boot key marina in marathon, fl keys

I found 4 or 5 marinas in the keys at $15-18 / ft. Am I missing something? I realize power is additional but wondering why I should forget the $15 and think $25? Thanks

Marathon Marina and Boatyard is an upscale Marina, with a lift I have seen takeout 80' yacht, but it's slips would have been reserved long ago. Marathon Boatyard is a working yard with all trades on site. I believe there is a Marin storage yard above Key Colony that has some ability to take out . A friend had a 45' Chris Craft on the hard there.

You can live a lot cheaper up the west coast of florida. Haul out, more material availability and more for kids to do. the only reason I come here is Family and friends to visit. At least wise for the past 6 years or so, since the costs have sky rocketed. The east coast has moved right on down.

Was there for 2 weeks Nov 2013 and another week Jan 2014. Loved it except for the derelicts in the Harbour. All the services and facilities you could need.
