Beafort SC liveaboard options?

Hi everyone!
I'm new and it looks like I've found a treasure of knowledge.
In Aug I purchased a 36ft Tiburon and I love her! Currently she is docked in Manteo NC. I am looking for a place in Beaufort SC that will allow longterm liveaboards and is VERY reasonable. Any ideas?

Most marinas will have their policies on the web. Best thing I've found is Google maps and look up and down the rivers. Sometimes you will find a gem. I've found several liveaboards docked up at seafood docks real cheap. You just have to get out and talk to some folks.

We show that Port Royal Landing takes liveaboards: Waterway Guide Marina Listing Directory

and Lady's Island Marina also: Waterway Guide Marina Listing Directory

...and Downtown Marina of Beaufort also...see info and rates updated last week listed here: Waterway Guide Marina Listing Directory.

Hope this helps. I've always enjoyed stopping in Beaufort as a transient...pretty town.

Re: Beafort SC liveaboard options?

We live down here in Beaufort, SC. The previous poster gave you a list of the three largest and most active marinas here in Beaufort.

The Dataw Island Marina is another - Dataw Island Marina - Setting the new Standard for Marinas - it has new owner's. Lady's Island Marina in Factory Creek is the most protected. The owner of Port Royal Landing Marina is named Tom Wilson. He's a great guy. We have a friend who lives aboard at Pt. Royal Landing. The Downtown marina has had a lot of recent work completed. The city is in the process of expanding the current day dock and working on the marina itself. The updated planning images for the docks and marina can be found on the city's website. Sometimes a private homeowner will rent out their dock space.

Please feel free to PM us if you have any questions or need anything. Beaufort is a great little town. Check out the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club as well.
