Anyone In Everett Area?

HI there,

I'm putting some serious thought into moving into a liveaboard full-time. It's something that has always appealed to me and I'm in a place in my life where that could be my next step.

That said, I'm at the very beginning stages of researching boats and marinas/slips.

I'd love to find a current full-time liveaboard in Everett WA or nearby to meet with in person for coffee. Researching online and reading is great but sometimes meeting someone in person who is actually doing what you're learning about is a great value.

Any takers? I'll even buy the 1st cup of coffee

Re: Anyone In Everett Area?

I am in the Everett area. On Whidbey Island, a short ferry ride away. I am not in tune with the live aboard set anymore as I have become a dirt dweller.

I doubt you will find any space at the Everett Marina. There are other live aboard situations in the area.

Send me a PM if you want to talk about it.

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Alleywolf.

The Port of Everett's (huge) marina allows live-aboards (@ $125/m extra). Oops. I defer to stormalong's local knowledge.

Re: Anyone In Everett Area?

I am thinking the same, I have a Catalina 30 and would like to retire to the PNW/Canada/Alaska for a couple years then head south to warm weather in my later years, probably truck it to at least SF. I have seen some marinas out west that have space, out where people can't commute to Seattle easy. I am in Anacortes at Cap Sante and I think they have a min size live aboard but I love the Marina, very nice and 330 a month is reasonable

Re: Anyone In Everett Area?

I was at the Everett marina last Sunday. Got on a waiting list for a 40 foot dock ($100 charge to be added to the list), which is supposed to take about two years. Waiting time for a liveaboard is much longer.
