Any Off the Hook Liveaboards in Vancouver ?

Hello community,

My girl friend and I are in our first month of off the hook liveaboard life. We were wondering if anyone else would be interested in meeting for a cafe? We are in false creek for three weeks and deep cove for one.

Cheers,

Joel.

Off the hook would indicate not at anchor to me or tied up at a marina. Do you mean on the hook liveaboard?? That's different than on the hook cruisers who are constantly moving.

Re: Any Off the Hook Liveaboards in Vancouver ?

Hey good for you!!!!!
I'll be joining you but not soon enough I'm afraid. I've been living in China for the past 12 years and my bug out plan is for spring of 2013. China has been great to me but now it's time to come home. I've already been shopping the boat market in Vancouver for the past few months. I would actually like to buy 2 boats. A 27ish foot catalina or the likes and a big cheap motor cruiser project boat that would be more the liveaboard. I was hoping that you wouldn't mind shedding some light on something for me. What has been really difficult for me to research is moorage. How friendly or better yet "unfriendly" are marinas to live aboards? Is the Sunshine coast a better alternative? Actually with cheap enough moorage I'd probably own at least 3 boats. lol I really appreciate any moorage advice that you might be able to provide me. Totally jealous of you guys!!! Have fun!
