Any good 20 foot cruisers out there? For liveabord? With head!

Hi, I'm about to buy my first boat, I'm single, 28 years old, and on a budget. I'm confident I can live aboard on a smaller boat as I've lived in some rather rough and small space's before. Campers and the like. Any thoughts on small cruiser's, preferably with a head.

Something like a Pearson Ariel is the way to go.

Sail or power? Are you wanting just to live aboard or actually want something seaworthy to go places?

I want sails, a sailboat that is, and yes I'd like to be able to venture out away from the coast. Doubt I'll cross the Atlantic but would enjoy cruising the US and Mexico coast.

Pacific Seacraft Flicka. There are 3 on YW right now. High quality, slow but go anywhere type of mini yacht.

You can find a well fitted out Cal 29 for $3-4k, & go anywhere in it, literally. As well as live onboard. And for $2k (max) more, do the same on a good number of 30'ers. Craig's list is your friend!

There is a small Nordica that is liveaboardable and less than 20'

Nordica-20

BTW the boat is either a franchise or a ripped copy of a Swedish design Havsfidra.

I'm on a 1000 dollars buget, mostly looks like 24 footers on Craigslist within my budget. Any advice?

Signet 20. Went up and down the Calif. coast a bit in one many moons ago. But does it have to be 20?

I looked up the yachtworld, there is a small Person and a small Bristol at below 1k.

Maybe there is one of such near where you live? Have you walked the docks already?

And do not miss the local boatyard - at times there are gems in the dark corners.

There was a free Nordica 30 on the web last summer. Maybe it is still there?

Columbia 24. Strong, built well, sails well, 5-9 headroom, One in good shape is probably close to your budget. I had one, lived on it, sailed it, loved it.
Columbia 26 Mark 1. Built at same time, has a separate head and hanging locker. Probably similarly priced.
You'll need more money to fix up whatever you get when it comes time to leave the harbor.
