That is the barrel length for all guns, which is why the M1 carbine is restricted.

Thank you. That information should all prove helpful to me in the future.

Those mm numbers look to work out to about 18.5" & 26". That seems to jibe pretty well with the rules in the US. I guess that makes my coach gun legal.

Excellent thread, Gary. It's all about using your head. Know the laws before you go. Owning a firearm is an ENORMOUS responsibility. Not everyone takes that responsibility seriously. You hear stories pretty often about people going into the Northeast with handguns, and getting busted!!! ( Plaxico Burress, to the waiting area, please Plaxico Burress to the waiting area)

A good deal of LEO's don't know the laws, so it is in YOUR best interest to be knowledgeable depending o,n where you go. I am too old and slow to go to prison.

As far as cruising to foreign lands, the guns are getting stored, but likely sold. I saw the pictures of Dog the Bounty Hunter in the Mexican jail. Didn't look like he was enjoying himself at all.

If you showed up in St Kitts and Nevis with one of those on board (and the customs agents saw it), I'm pretty sure you'd end up sitting in the police station with a lot of questions to answer. You'd be amazed at what's considered illegal in many of the eastern Caribbean countries. (I used to live there.)
