QE2 bridge, around 54m clearance , is that a problem.!!!

progress for masted vessels stops at Tower bridge, but t St. Katherines and other docks/marinas are all before that.

Hi "Angels"

Fabulous voyage...
Would you recommend to do the same route in reverse ?
(i.e. Aegean via Danube to North Sea )

River Rhine can be pretty fast before you come to Mainz...
...do you expect anything on the reverse trail ?
- What kind of engine power do you have in your Catalac?
- What did you do with your mast ? (and where?)

We had 2 three cylinder Yanmar diesels for our trip with 37 hp in each. It was barely enough in our opinion and we had to hug the turbulent waters next to wing dams going up the Rhine. After Bingham, Germany it gets easier going upstream to Mainz, as current speed drops off.

I would not like going opposite direction...up Danube as it seems way too long upstream to us and would likely have fuel acquisition problems.

We stowed mast in specially built cradle on deck. Put on deck in Holland and removed in Port Tomas, Romania and used mobile crane.
