Where, Oh Where, Has Slapdash Gone?

Has anyone heard anything out of Slapdash lately? Last blog was 10/25 before the Bali passage....

Quote:
So 1700 miles to Bali. We’ll leave Tuesday so should be there by Friday November the –gulp!- 13th at the latest.

Hope everything is ok...

Given their recent string of bad luck and headaches, I wouldn't be surprised if they were running behind schedule. I also wouldn't be surprised if they had more bad luck and weren't really in the mood to document it right away. Some things are better recounted after several days and several applications of general anesthetic.

Still, I can't help but hope that they're just having too wonderful a time to stop and type things out.

Agreed. The autopilot seems a real PITA. Hopefully it's as you say and they are just behind schedule, though it's almost a week since the projected "latest arrival". But it IS a 1700 mile shot and .....excrement occurs.

Good Luck, Guys.

They're heading kind of your way, perhaps you'll cross paths and you can mention that to him. I'm sure he'll appreciate hearing that directly.

and Cliffdykes, watch out! You're a 2 poster at the moment as well and at risk of wrath. Get posting!

It's ok, the NE Monsoon will be setting in strong soon and he'll feel a bit better.

While MarkJ's very brief way of stating the obvious may seem a bit testy for some, it's a valid observation. The member did join more than two years ago and has only posted twice since he joined, so there is some irony in such a person being described as a "valuable forum member."

So please get back on the topic of an overdue sailor - that's a subject worth discussing. Thanks, guys.

Yeah, when I wrote that I was still feeling the effects of a dinner 24 hours previously where the imbiciles running the restuarant included the red wine FREE. I haven't had a dash of red since leaving Australia - wildly expensvie in indonesia. Plus I am getting a cold and so went to bed early and told Nicolle to sleep in the saloon cos I was feeling grumpy

Before going to bed I let fire in a couple of other threads too!

I feel great this morning so the posting 'medicine' obviously worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mark

Figures there was a reason you were not being your usual cheerful self. Hope you feel better.

And Nicolle did not reply by telling you to sleep in the cockpit?
