Tn sailors: need info on Cumberland River

I'm having trouble figuring out if there is clearance for a 50' mast from Lake Barkley to Old Hickory Lake,
I've looked at the charts, but either they or my chart foo is lacking.
(probably the later)
If there is anyone here who knows this area I'd appreciate some advice.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Tn sailors: need info on Cumberland River

According to Bill Dietrich:
“... Getting R. J. Corman railroad bridge at mile 126.5 (50-foot clearance closed) to open is difficult; there's no tender on duty, no monitoring of VHF; supposedly have to call someone at home and they'll come to open it: Dean Simmons, 931-980-4768. Last resort maybe: bridge maintenance supervisor Theresa Galloway 904-245-1103 ...”

Gord,
Thanks for the info. That is all I could find also. I am hoping someone here has up to date personal experience on that stretch since that info is 12 years old.

Tn sailors: need info on Cumberland River

I live in Clarksville TN where the RJ Corman bridge is. The bridge has undergone a refurbishment recently. Dean Simmons is always available and the phone number is his cell phone. If I were cruising the area, I'd call him before and just see if he had any plans. Below that, 50' feet will clear at Dover Hwy 79 (Mile 88.8) and Hwy 62 (Mile 63.1). I've been from Kentucky Dam to Clarksville and have 58'-8" to tip of antenna. I have to heel sometimes at Hwy 62, depending on water level. At summer pool of 359, it has 57 feet, clearance.
