Re: The Bum(fuzzle)s Are Moving Afloat Again !

I agree, Barry, though when I suggested to Pat that, given Ali's advanced state of pregnancy, he consider adding one crew member for their big move down to Puerto Vallarta, he scoffed (which didn't really surprise me). They've always been extremely self-reliant, and the notion of adding a "non-Bum" just wasn't ever going to be a seriously-considered option.

They're just waiting for a good weather window now, then it's out the Gate, turn left, and the next exciting chapter in the aquatic life of the Bums truly begins . . . this time with one and a half new crew aboard.

If it was even remotely possible I'd volunteer to help them out, but I'm sure a very pregnant Ali is worth two Barry's at sea any day.

I like them. If for no other reason then because they were such an irritant to the all knowing arm chair sailors.

Enjoyed reading Pat's book "Bumfuzzle - Just Out Looking for Pirates" and wish them well on their new endeavor.

If you feel like it, Pat would appreciate a review posted to the book's Amazon.com page.

Re: The Bum(fuzzle)s Are Moving Afloat Again !

The Bumfuzzle blog was one of the first I read, and one that totally inspired me. How wonderful to just DO it...I know there are lots of folks out there like that, but that was a blog I read tons of and enjoyed every minute with all the pictures etc. FANTASTIC! Go Bums! I bought their book as a Christmas present and watch their blog often as well as FB. They really are a blast....I too enjoyed the way they tweaked the traditionalists It's all about the journey...

+1. Great people.

And worthy of some serious respect for their accomplishments.

"Not much of interest around here right now. We're bored with Paradise Village. Painfully so. This place grates on my nerves more by the hour".

11 days since their last blog update. Did Pat say where they were headed?

Thanks to David for making Bumfuzzle catch my eye. They are going to be in California while I'm there, so I'm going to try and interview them to get their story. Already sent an email off. Need more stories like this.
