Anyone have experience wintering in San Carlos? We are landlocked sailors, retired in Idaho, and would like to find warm weather and access to sailing through a portion of the winter months. We would most likely rent an apt/condo/house and ideally find access to day charter sailing through a club of some sort or other manner. Can anyone provide some info about the SC area as it may pertain to snowbirds and sailers from up north?

It's warmer than your home in the winter but it's still cool compared to the tropics so I guess it depends what Temps you like to be in. Further south on the mainland is a better choice in my mind.
