Sailing Eastwards Across the Pacific to Chile

We are hoping to sail from Australia to Puerto Montt, Chile early in 2012. We would love to hear from anyone else who has had experience doing this. (or knows someone who has) We would probably sail to NZ and head across from there. 5 weeks at sea probably unless we can stop at Easter Island. With an eastward circumnavigation already under our belt we are keen to experience Patagonia then head around up to the Mediterranean. (We didn't get there last time) thanks for any info!

Welcome to the forum.

With your kind of experience you can no doubt make a good contribution on all kinds of subjects too.

Many of us would like to follow your current plans and progress with interest.

Hi all - We're new to this forum and happy to share. We built our own boat from plywood and she took us around the world safely. Can't wait to go cruising again but funds are low! Our website is : www.valiam.com.au
