Hello anxious fellow sailors,
I plan to sail in November-December 2016 from Rio Dulce to the San Blas Islands, so off the coasts of Honduras and Nicaragua.
Does any one have an update on the safety in Utilla, Roatan , Guanara, Providencia, San Andres ?
Is any one interested in sailing together ?
My Boat is a 43 feet catamaran type Privilege 435.

Personally, on this route, I would still avoid Honduran and Nicaraguan mainland coasts by a wide margin. For example, come and go to Bay islands via Belize. I would not take the usual route from the Rio to Bay Islands, motor sailing along the Honduran coast...especially no where near Punta Sal.

Bay Islands, Providencia, San Andreas would not concern me much. All great places to stop.
