Restaurants in BVI - September

I was told that in the BVI almost all resturants close
duing September, sounds like a lot,
this is correct,?

Yes, during the off season the BVI Islanders go on vacation and the islands almost shut down. Some of the bigger places and those on Tortola stay open. There is a list somewhere, but I can't recall where. If you head over to the Traveltalk online BVI forum you can ask there and will probably be pointed in the correct direction.

Just in case you wanted more than one reply...
We were in the BVI two years ago in the first week of September. The winds were lousy, the temperatures were sweltering, and a lot of the places were closed or getting ready to close. We've been there several other times, including this week but we'll never go back in September.
