Planning RTW Over Several Summers

We are currently on the Med.

I am starting to plan a westward circumnavigation spread over several years. Passages would preferably be sailed between May and August, although I can probably manage to take a few Winter/Fall months in order to avoid hurricanes.

The idea is to sail from A to B with friends and have wife and kids fly to putter around new grounds, then leave the boat on the hard for the following year. The Pacific being crossed over 9 months.

Suggestions for dates and suitable ports of call appreciated. Not in a hurry. Start planned two years from now. RTW in 5+ years ending in the Carribeans or the Med.
