Nassau > Charleston Tomorrow

We'll, we've thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Bahamas, but now that rainy season is upon us it's time to head north. Our original plan was to head to Ft. Lauderdale and do some work there, but another boat we first met in Charleston showed up here yesterday and they are heading right back up there tomorrow. We're going to buddy boat with them and will be leaving tomorrow for the 540nm trek back north. I posted some more info on our blog, and you can follow along with our SPOT track in realtime. Just follow the "Tracking us" link on the right hand side of our blog page.

Our blog is at s/v Pelican - Following A Dream.

Chris

Labatt had some electrical problems and stopped in West End to effect repairs. But they're off again today, on their way to Charleston.

Here's the link to their SPOT Messenger tracking page.

They just pulled into the Ponce Inlet on a forecast of bad weather/squalls north of them. Looks like they are safe and sound and awaiting a new window to head north.

We'll be doing a blog post about it tomorrow, but yes - NOW we're safe and sound... we entered the inlet, however, with 35-40kt wind on the beam, and very large squalls with waterspouts and hail within a 1/2 mile of us. We were able to set the hook just inside the inlet and wait out the storm (not fun) and have since moved to an excellent marina. I wanted to anchor out but the wife really wanted terra firma after today's fun.
