Re: Mediterranean in Summer

Use Google Earth and chart out the times and distances and then decided whether you want to sail or to visit ports. Cadiz to Corsica is ~820 miles. Average of 5 knots (YMMV) is almost 7 days non stop.

I'm in no way an expert but our first year in the Med on the West Coast of Italy we traveled a total of 50 nm in 6 weeks. There was so much to see. I like the idea of studying a place before I leave. Know what you want to see and leave a lot of time unplanned so that you can enjoy the great things that you find enroute.

Fair Winds,

Between us there was, as I have already said somewhere, the bond of the sea. Besides holding our hearts together through long periods of separation, it had the effect of making us tolerant of each other's yarns -- and even convictions. Heart of Darkness
