Re: Lady Musgrave island

Shufti, pancake is our back up plan if Musgrave is untenable but sounds like it will be ok. Pancake is into the wind for us to get to from Gladstone but from musgrave no problem.

Re: Lady Musgrave island

We were there for five nights till yesterday. It was a little choppy at high tide the last two nights with waves coming over the reef. Should be better this weekend as tides should be lower. Do not trust chartplotter charts for entrance, ours was way out. Others we have spoken to also had same problem. As others have said, there are a couple of bommies once you turn south inside lagoon that come to nearly the surface (or do). Keep well clear of them. We did four great scuba dives there, including a drift into the lagoon via the channel on incoming tide.
