Departing Lake Michigan Oct 17

Jane and I will be leaving lake Michigan on Oct 17 to head for the Tennessee River for the winter. We still don't intend to begin living aboard full time (still got kids in college) but we'll be taking at least a month to make the trip. This is the first time in our 20 years of boating that we have not hauled out for winter storage so we are excited about visiting the boat a couple times a month through the winter. We chose Athens AL because it is right along I-65 and only a short 7 1/2 hr drive from home. Both our kids colleges are along I-65 too. We will try to access the web every few days during the trip to update our site ( seaplanetearth.com ) Feel free to follow along. We welcome your comments and pointers.
