BVI's to Grenada

Quickest route from the BVI's to Grenada? I need to leave the BVI's on July 1st and get my boat to Grenada in the shortest time possible. ( I'll have to enjoy all the islands I pass when I return north next season ). any advice appreciated.
Also, any advice on marina's in Grenada to keep my 40' sailboat?

The winds will work against you a bit but you should be able to stay to the East as you go to offset the current.
Marinas... I have kept my cat at Spice Island Marina and it was fine. Slots go quickly and you will need reserve now for something in July.
Have good winds and a following sea.

Re: BVI's to Grenada

The nicest marina is Port Louis and they are not overly expensive for dock queens... But book early if you want to be there for the hurricane season.

The rout down from the BVIs is about 160 degrees. It would be nice to start on a north Easterly. Just keep up to windward as much as you can, playing the wind and the current.
On the rhumb line if you need to put in a tack just do it, but you will probably be too far west of islands to get much shelter from them.

Its only 450 miles and all quite warm and a few days to windward will be good for you

Re: BVI's to Grenada

As others have said... straight line. We've always been able to do BVI - Grenada on one tack without a problem in the summer on a cat. So a mono which probably points a bit higher will do it easily. Usually takes us 3 days give or take.

If you don't need to stay in the water then Grenada Marine is a great haul-out spot for hurricane season.
