Australia - What a Beautiful Place to Cruise

Welcome to anyone looking at spending time here, jobs are plentiful and are increasing, the economy is humming the beaches are stunning. Us Aussies are a friendly bunch you may not like our ball games depending where your from.

Seafood!!!!! simply the best.

Favourite cruising area for me.... Percy Island down to Keppel....

Enjoy

Just north of Sydney make sure you enter Broken Bay and check out Pittwater and Cowan.

For me nothing in Aus comes close to the Kimberley region of Western Australia.....

I have cruised all around this country for pleasure and work, lived in Queensland for the past 9 years, but i always have a longing to return to the Kimberleys.....magical place...!

Sure have....used to live on a house boat there when i worked for Paspaley Pearls many years ago, now that i am in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry (Rig Tenders) we anchor there quite often...

To some the islands are a bit featureless, but to me they are beautifull in a rugged sort of way, also the diving/fishing is fantastic....

Yep i have a thing for small islands myself, i live on Bribie Island now. I used to live and work on Cockatoo Island (Kimberleys) driving a charter boat, best job i ever had, although the money wasn't the best the lifestyle was great...

....unfortunately the island has reverted back to Iron Ore mining....

Yer when we lived on the island ( Happy Bay Resort ) my pay was $100 a week and full board was $12 out of that, we lived like kings, diving fishing sailing on our days off..... Built our first yacht by the workshop and sailed off 2 years later, life WAS good.

It has amazed me how complicated i have made my life since Cockatoo, charging headlong into chasing the mighty dollar, trying to comply and fit in with conventional society, thankfully i have realised this is not in my makeup and am now rapidly ridding myself of these complications.....i aim to get the good life back....soon!
