For those who may not be aware, Ouest, Pat and Ali's 10 month-old daughter was born with hemangioma on the tip and left side of her nose. One of the foremost doctors in the US with expertise in treating hemangioma (a benign tumor of blood vessels which often manifests in a red birthmark) and a long track record
of successfully doing so, is located in Minneapolis / St. Paul. He has been treating Ouest since her tumor appeared many months ago, shortly after she was born (13 December 2009).
trip back to Minnesota
will, quite possibly, be the last time this little girl will have to be handed over to the doctor's nurses to have her tiny nose burned with a laser. She's been through the process enough times, now, that she understands what will happen when they go there and she's placed in the nurses' hands.
That anyone would make light of any parent's choice to do whatever was in his / her power to benefit a completely dependent child is, to me, simply astonishing. This thread no longer serves any useful purpose, and this will be the last post to it . . . thread closed.
