Re: Yacht Insurance

Well, i'm with Panteneus and their standard thing is 24hrs single handing but not sure if they would extend that. Also, wanted to say hi to another singlehander with a Catalac 900, there's not many of us!!

Re: Yacht Insurance

Fine, while at anchor anyway where you get some cool sea breezes. I've had some sunscreens made for the doghouse windows, makes a big difference and fitting an airscoop over the hatch to the main cabin helps keep the air moving through as well. The only place I suffer is at the occasional marina stop when there's no air moving and I cant jump in the sea to cool off!

Sent you a pm.....

Re: Yacht Insurance

Would that be 1% annually? or monthly? We are looking at purchasing and got a ballpark quote and in my opinion it was outrageous. Came out to about 1% monthly! We have not tried Nationwide yet as we are just beginning our quest. We are in Mississippi.

resending with quote message... would that insurance premium be 1% of value annually?
Thanks.

Re: Yacht Insurance

Hi guys,
Just to put you in the picture and certainly not trying to advertise. I finally got third party insurance from Panteanius. Give them a try, I think I got a good deal
Good luck

Re: Yacht Insurance

I just got a comprehensive coverage from QBE Insurance Group over here at Singapore two days ago. I'm a first time owner with no keelboat experience and bought a 20 years old boat. The company happily provided the coverage, region West Malaysia and Singapore. I'm surprised that the premium is only slightly abv USD$1k/yr. Just check their web, it's an International company.

Good experience with their service. Just to share.
