The grass had grown quite a bit between when the photos were taken and when I arrived. I needed to rent a motorized brush cutter to get through the 5ft tall wheat grass that had sprung up.

The weed wacker battery only lasted about 5 minutes before it needed recharging. Since I was clearing 1/3 acre I doubt it will ever pay for itself. I ended up buying a $50.00 secondhand lawn mower because the grass grew 4" in less than a fortnight while I was there!

er.. vinyl records.. and no record player onboard..

I had the idea to flog them on eBay, but that market where some of those records were worth, apparently, hundreds of dollars has collapsed.

I liked a name on a big cat: UNLEADED.

I absolutely hate the looks of most big cats! ... (But I still wish I had one.)

On the fishing gear comments: I like stealthy fishing from my kayak and dinks so I have, currently, 3 smallish rods and reels hanging overhead plus a pole spear for when all else fails. But for bluewater sailboat use a heavy handline is worth its very minimal weight/space in gold fresh fish. YMMV.

The most useless thing for me that I've tossed so far has been the large pile of 37 year old diesel-flavored foam mattresses for the other 4 people I'll never have onboard. I can still sleep two (friendly) folks, plus an acquaintance-level person on an air mattress if needed.

My hard dinghy mostly just took up space on deck... Seldom used. Probably my lifestyle, but although inflatable doesn't row that well it stows better when not being used
