"Use it up. Make it do. Wear it out!" as the slogan used to have it. Sound counsel - for the individual - at sea as on shore. Only problem is that if we all were to do that (all of us, not just us sailors), it would totally bugger the economy! We NEED the profligate aficionados of conspicuous consumption.

One of my pet peeves is that what is good micro-economically is perdition macro-economically. And vice versa!

Somebody help me fix that, please! I'm already doing my bit :-)

Ahhhhh the trickle down effect, or what Daddy Bush used to call VooDoo economics.

Well for me, being in the lower half of the economy, I'll keep getting by with what I have, fixing what I can and replacing what I must. Though feel free to let me know the next time you are changing out gadgets, I may be in the market.

Good On Ya!

Re: Small Stuff Adds Up!

Lot of words. Words are pretty cheap and meaningless without numbers to back them up. It of course is a known given that weekend boaters can cruise for less and know the best way to long term cruise and live on a boat, but are just too lazy to document it.
