Selling a US flagged boat, Caliber 47, in SXM

Hi,

We own a Caliber 47 LRC, are located in Sint Maarten / Saint Martin and have it for sale. A US buyer is looking to finance this boat but his finance company (Trident) requires the boat to be in the US for closing. Does anybody know of any finance companies that close finance for US residents with the boat in Sint Maarten?

I'm new to this forum, but I would sure like some help from the sailing community. My father-in-law, Bert McClelland, built a 42-foot ketch with a Westsail hull, launched in the early 80s in San Diego. Bert and his wife Anne sold it in 1987 to Everett and Shirley McCaughey, who sailed it for six years before selling it. Anne is nearing 90 and would love to find out where her beloved "Seabiscuit" is (Bert built her a bathtub in that boat!) and who might be enjoying it. If anyone has ANY information on Seabiscuit, and sorry, I don't have its hull number, please drop me a line or give me a call. Thanks very much.
