It's really not.
I've had a 36' Coachman fifth wheel
with triple slides for the last 15 yrs, as a family
of four we lived in it for a yr or two while I re-built the house, and have done some travelling in it, nothing long time though.
To begin with, their are no "anchorages", unless you count the Walmart parking lot. You have to shoe horn your fifth wheel
into a tiny space with all the other campers in a campground, and it costs about the same as a motel too.
This is what concerns me about mandatory mooring
Travelling? Well my C3500 Diesel
gets maybe about 8 MPG on $4 a gallon Diesel
plus side, the thing is HUGE compared to most boats
