Re: New Dinghy

Bateau sells plans and pre cut plywood for a boat that looks a lot like the Chameleon. Link: Boat plan details, Nesting Dinghy 11 (FB11), Dinghies up to 12'

Re: New Dinghy

Thank you for Bateu.

It is aprox 30 pounds lighter and there are no water proof boxes in the back side of dingy.

Thank you again.

Sabray are you allowed to resell your plans ?

Re: New Dinghy

One real nice advantage of the chameleon is it will bolt up in the water. Meaning that the mating surfaces float together near perfect. Also I really like the water tight compartments. Floatation in the back and I installed a hatch in the front. makes the dink have positive floatation. Not going to tell why I like the positive floatation story. I think Danny should sell the plans. Pretty sure that he is getting a wee royalty for his design work. At 25 bucks is no big deal to just send the money. I think blue stocking said "Danny is a mate of mine. If you have any problem connecting with him,let me know, I'll do your legwork.". hope that helps

Re: New Dinghy

Here's my new rowing dinghy: an 8-foot Trinka. It has a green hull which isn't obvious since the shipping wrapper hasn't been removed. Today, gathered materials (rope and blocks) for hoisting onto my motorboat.
