Moorage in British Columbia

Hello, Friends,
I am just about despairing of finding a spot in BC to keep a boat that I can actually afford. Does anybody know of a marina where a boat could live, summer and winter, in the water and, preferably, on hard in the winter, for a total cost under $2,000? Let's call it a 26-foot boat. I'm not buying until I find such a place, whether on the coast or on some decent lake. I hope somebody out there knows of this hidden treasure.

Look into Squamish, or just near it (before it). Hope that helps. Best

Re: Moorage in British Columbia

with those parameters you are looking at paying less that $7 / foot / month. Not including tax and charges and hauling in/out if on the hard.
In BC that is a near impossibility.
imho cheapest moorage in BC will be found northern part of Vancouver Island or sunshine coast, and maybe Ladner/fraser river delta.
There are cheaper possibilities in Washingtom state, down to $5/foot/month
I am kinda in the same boat as you. The cheapest option for keeping a boat here is either on a trailer or on a private mooring - these pop up for sale every once in a while for $1500 - $2500. You can have one installed for 2-3K I believe for a 26 footer.

I have no idea about interior BC...

You can always keep it down here on the Columbia for 2-3 dollars/foot/month. Plenty of small berths open in my marina. Or a 26 footer you might just trailer it.
