To me all good hearing about others and their boat. However I am interested in much more indepth seamanship and liveaboard specific info by weathered liveaboards who live on the hook. Because that is going to give us the real indight in what it takes to liveaboard out of marinas. The marina liveaboard experience is just like living in a flat difference got water under your flat, all services etc.. So maybe include in the list questions about where you keep your boat, how you use it, where you got your seamanship skills.

We've owned our present boat for about 6 months. The previous boat, we had for 5 years. Both were production and pre owned rental (charter, I suppose) houseboats.
I was 34 when we purchased our first boat. I had been on/around boats my whole life, but decided early on that I'd rather get the work out of the way as quickly as possible, so we got started a little late.
We are shopping for our next boat, hopefully a 45'ish sailing cat, and we hope to make that leap in about 7 years, if not sooner.
Our first boat was a 60' with three beds in a bit of a community setup. Our current boat is a 73' with 6 individual cabins, and it is much more enjoyable with a crowd on board. We decided to commit to the lake/houseboat bit to spend more time with our parents and our young daughter while we can, and it is conducive to maintaining our professional life/business in preparation for what will hopefully be a comfortable and early retirement. (And we have a herd of cattle, horses, ponies, cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, etc, etc, etc that are going to have to die of old age before we can make our exit)
