Croatia Marina Costs

Hi everyone,

I'm currently searching for a yacht to purchase in the Croatia/Greece/Adriatic region. Looking at Beneteau/Jeanneau in the 41-46 foot range.
Can anyone give me a rough idea on marina/berthage fees in this area?
Also, is hauling out and hardstand for the winter the most common and what sort of fees would you expect for this?
Would love to hear from anyone with knowledge on this topic, and also any advice and knowledge from anyone that has already bought a boat in this region.

Thanks a lot!
Blake

Re: Croatia Marina Costs

Four or five years ago O was thinking about that and made an extensive search. On many (too many) marinas it was as expensive on the hard as it was on the water (same price) or even more.

That is what was the time the best option in what regards price, quality, nice town and centrality:

D-Marin Mandalina Marina, Sibenik, Croatia - Home

Now is very confusing since it is more expensive on dry but they offer 40% reduction. Any way you can look here for the prices on lot of Marinas:

ABOUT US | D-Marin

Adriatic Croatia International Club

That will give you an idea. On Greece you can find cheaper and not very far, on the Ionian you have several options on Preveza anda Mesalonghi. Google for Preveza or Mesalonghi marina.

Re: Croatia Marina Costs

Hi,
If you want to store your boat on the dry in winter and just sail away in summer, I think the central Adriatic coast of Italy can be cheaper.
There are a lot of shipyards in Termoli, Pescara, Giulianova, S.Benedetto del Tronto, Fano, Ancona and other places that would cost you a LOT less than any ACI marina.
PM me if you want some contacts.

Re: Croatia Marina Costs

One of the things we have found is you have to do the work to id them and contact them and then see what they may charge. We always do a bit of research on the net and contact the potential marinas and see what their costs are not just what is on their web site.
We got a couple of good offers when we decided to winter over in Turkey that were a lot different from was posted.

So do some internet research and make the contacts and see what you may be able to negotiate.

Thanks Chuckr
Yes, will do some research
The boat will only be used over the summer, so trying to find the most cost effective, feasible way of storing her over the winter
