Charter Skippers Fee
Hello-

Does anyone have a ball park figure as to what it would cost to hire a Skipper/Captain on a cruise boat for 1 or 2 days before I could assume the helm for the remainder of a charter excursion?

I have minimal mono hull experience but plenty on 19' Flying Scots. I feel confident I can take over after being shown the ropes. I'm well read on sailing, but it would be a first time. Thinking the Caribbean area or BVI.

Perhaps $200.00 plus expenses, depending on size of boat, etc.

Probably $150 a day in the BVI. Your charter company will have people they can supply. You'll have to pay his/her cab fare back home if you don't leave him/her where you pick them up.
