Boat Art

I am proud of my wife and like to show off her work. Water colour of DIRT FREE at anchor in Cape May, NJ and the photo she took it from.

Re: Boat Art

That is a nice painting! (and a nice boat too)

Well done, both of you.

I enjoy painting and drawing boats too (watercolor, ink, acrylic, etc.).

So please pass along my sincere compliments to your wife and artist.

Steady

Re: Boat Art

Watercolour of a previous boat that was painted from a photograph by a local artist Marian Forster of Emsworth. The picture shows the first time I crossed the English Channel in my own boat to a foreign country (France), always a special moment.

Re: Boat Art

Awesome painting. I am envious. Many years ago I did some painting. Maybe it's time to start once again.

Re: Boat Art

I recall that Ellery Thompson -- an old Connecticut dragger captain who gained acclaim for his paintings -- said that all his fellow dragger captains who wanted a portrait of their boat wanted it set in a storm at sea, at night, at the moment lightning is striking the boat.
