Best Insurance for the Caribbean?

The mrs. and I are leaving NY with our dogs in November to sail to Colombia. We plan to sail to the bahamas, turks and then head west to haiti, dominican, cuba, mexico and then down the central american coast.

I have a 34' Seafarer with insurance with BoatUS. I am looking into country, time, etc. restriction with them, but would love to hear from other cruisers about their insurance and what might be best for our trip.
