Advice Please on Keeping a Boat in Croatia

Hi all, just made the big decision and will have a boat based in Dubrovnik from May this year. I am trying to find out if it is best to keep the boat under an British flag or place it on the Croatian boat register. The research I have done so far has confused me so far as I am not sure if there is an additional tax liability if I change the country of registration.

Has anyone out there moved a boat from the UK to Croatia, where the boat will be kept for a number of years, and found an answer to this?

many thanks in advance for all helpful feedback.

Best wishes...

I am from the US and have been thinking about cruising and staying along the Croation Coast. I read somewhere that if you are anywhere but in a marina you must pay $25 a day to keep your boat anchored. Has anyone heard of this?
