Re: 15 Year Old Sailor

Think about trying when you're studying first. Can you find a college that teaches what you want close to a marina? If so - one problem out of the way.

Living alone aboard when young can be a challenge. Most like to have others their own age around. I you're different then this won't be a problem

And don't get me wrong - boats are small, might take a bit of getting used to.

Having said all the above - living aboard while studying is perfectly feasible. and with skills like web design etc, you rally don't need to come to an office every day so the part about living aboard and making a living is doable.

But (LOL) the worm turns - there are several threads on this site about how difficult it is to find a woman who is willing to be a live-aboard. You actually might have the same problem - finding a guy who wants to be a live-aboard.

But hey - good luck and if you really want to do this - then you will. It's all up to you

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Does one need Internet whilst writing programs or building Web Sites... one can always stage journeys and times of contact to maintain an Internet business I would have thought.
Don't try to build yourself around life... build life around you...

Your young enough and seem savvy enough to do it...

Thank you! I try to maintain good grammar and vocabulary. So many students my age lack at these skills...so I have made it my goal to show that there is at least one teenager with educated speech.
Also, I've seen many if your posts on this forum and just wanted comment that you have a lot of good advice and ideas!
